They are occasionally privately owned and function as businesses\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ffcc00;\"><strong>WHEN: <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>The active part of this project has ended.<\/p>\n<p>However growing your own garden is a great way to relax, share bonding time with family:\u00a0 it also may make you feel good about yourself as you are growing your own food to eat (or share) and if you don\u2019t have the space then you can join a community garden.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ffcc00;\"><strong>WHERE:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>The active part of this project has ended.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-thumbnail wp-image-258\" title=\"KARE gardens coltyn and Yasik\" src=\"http:\/\/www.karepower.org\/projects\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/KARE-gardens-coltyn-and-Yasik-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/p>\n<p>However, send us an email and will make every effort to connect with a community garden and\/or a groups of students that have a passion for gardens and\/or are willing to negotiate reduced fees.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ffcc00;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #ffcc00;\">MESSAGE FROM PARYS:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>IMAGINE&#8230;<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>touching dirt and it causing you such pain that your body goes into overload, shutting down some basic functions like body control.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>After my brother was injured this became a reality, he couldn\u2019t stand anything to touch him (in particular his hands, feet and face), especially if had a different temperature and\/or texture.\u00a0 His senses would become so overwhelmed that his body would shut down, many times sending him to the hospital racked in agony.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>My mom developed Natural Play-Based Therapy programs that included gardening, that would slowly expand his sensory\u2019s so he could participate in everyday activities versus his entire world being focused just on clinical medical therapies.
